Do you allow casual sessions or drop-ins?

No. To ensure all members are invested in the health and safety of their training partners we do not allow casuals or drop-ins. Exceptions are made for black belt students and professional athletes only. Email us at scrappynorth@scrappymma.com first so we can approve your casual drop in.

Do you run pro/fight team sessions?

Yes, these are invite-only sessions. Please book a free class with us first, then speak to our coaches at your first public class to learn more about pro team requirements and expectations.

I'm unfit, can I still do this class?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Our classes are designed for all fitness and experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. We structure sessions with a mix of technique drills, optional live sparring, and rest rounds to make sure everyone can train at their own pace. If you're not ready to spar, no problem, just let the coach know and we'll tailor the session to suit your comfort level.

Do I have to book in or attend on specific days once enrolled?

Accepted Answer

No. You are welcome to come to any class that suits your schedule each week. There is no need to book or commit to particular days.

Question 6

What should I wear to my first class? Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

Any comfortable T-shirt and shorts are fine. No special gear is needed and no shoes are required on the mats. We will provide everything else needed for your first free orientation class.

Question 7

Do I need a uniform or specific equipment?

Accepted Answer

It depends. We will happily lend you everything you need, free of charge during your first free orientation. If you decide to enrol after your free class, we can also provide loan gear for another few weeks while our coaches guide you on what equipment or uniform you may need moving forward, depending on your preferred training program.

I want to fight. Can Scrappy take me there?
